How many rails should my bridge have?

Most bridges have two or three rails.

Our standard for Pedestrian bridges is 3 rails. (1150mm high)

Our standard for cycleway bridges is 4 rails (1400mm high)

Bridleway bridges have elaborate parapets up to 1800mm high with kick boards.

The separation of these varies. Our flexible system allows you to put the rails at the best position to suit your requirements.

How long will delivery take?

We can typically supply one of our kits in 2/3 weeks dependant on your requirements.

How long will the bridge last?

All our steel work is galvanized and have a typical service life of 30 years.

All our timber is treated to TD/HE class 4 giving the timber a typical service life of 30 years.

This life span can be achieved even with little maintenance.

Should I have timber or plastic?

We can offer both FSC timber deck or GRP plastic options, please get in touch to talk about your requirements

What are the delivery options?

Our kit bridges can be delivered straight to site and are ideally suited to site’s that are in difficult locations.

We can deliver the bridge either for our clients to off load, or if needed we can arrange HIAB delivery. This will be discussed at the quotation stage.

What size bridges do you supply?

Pedestrian – 800mm wide deck

Pedestrian – 1200mm wide deck

Bridle/Cycle – 1800mm wide deck

Bridle/Cycle – 2400mm wide deck

Standard bridge lengths: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 metres

How long does the bridge take to install?

Our bridges are supplied in a pre-drilled kit form for ease of assembly.

Installation can take between 1-2 days dependant on site locations.

They can be assembled by a group of volunteers and unskilled labour.

Smaller bridges can be moved manually, however larger bridges will need to be moved mechanically.
